Make People Feel Great First

🤔 I realised something when I stopped for this photo. There are two ginger punk-inspired Mavericks in this picture. One is Vivienne Westwood. The other one is trying her best to follow in the same spirit. 😄 Westwood understood something about change that many organisations still miss. "You have to make people feel great before you get change." Yet in so many workplaces the strategy still looks like this: • Announce the change • Push the plan • Measure compliance • Wonder why everyone resists It's backwards. Because people don't resist change. They resist feeling small, ignored, or powerless. Real change happens when people feel: 🔥 Trusted 🔥 Included 🔥 Heard 🔥 Capable 🔥 Energised That's when they lean in instead of holding back. Maybe the secret to transformation isn't better change programmes. Maybe it's simply this: Make people feel great first. Two ginger punk energy fuelled Mavericks would definitely agree. 🧡 And it's left me wondering… Why do organisations still try to manage change instead of inspiring it?
